Make a Difference

We Need YOU!

If you have a child or grandchild who attends RASD you are part of a warm and welcoming community. To help support the students of our district we would love to have you! The district has many ways you can GET INVOLVED!

RASD PTO

The Parent Teacher Organization, or PTO, is a group of parents and teachers that work together throughout the school year to raise funds and sponsor fun events for the students to partake in. Some of the events and activities are held in order to raise money, while others are strictly planned for the kids, parents, and teachers to have some fun. The monies that are raised through the fund raisers are used throughout the year wherever a need may arise.

Whether it’s pencils or paper products for classrooms, T-shirts or bus fees for a field trip, or new kits for the STEAM class, our children benefit directly from this great organization. Did you know that more than 85 research studies conducted over the past 30 years prove that kids do better when parents are involved? Grades are higher. Whether it’s an idea or input or it’s volunteering for an event, YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!

RASD Foundation

The Ridgway Area School District Foundation is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization created to support and enhance educational opportunities for students across the district. Our mission is to fund projects and initiatives that go beyond what the school budget can cover – whether that’s facility improvements, classroom resources, or special programs that benefit students and staff.

By partnering with community members, businesses, and alumni, the Foundation helps invest in the long-term success of our schools. Every contribution – large or small – directly supports projects that strengthen learning, engagement, and school pride.

Volunteering

Volunteers truly make a difference in our schools! They are super heroes in plain clothes! We need your help with providing supervision on field trips, reading to children, preparing teaching materials and planning parties. If you would like to help out, we encourage you to call your school’s front office or contact your child’s teacher. All volunteers must be approved and submit to background checks.
