Anticipated Elementary Reading Specialist
The Ridgway Area School District is currently accepting applications for an anticipated Elementary Reading Specialist to begin the 2026/2027 school year. Applicants must have a valid PA certification for Reading Specialist.
Consideration will be given to applicants that have a valid PA certification in Elementary Education (K-6, Grades PK-4, or Grades 4-8), have a minimum of three years instructional experience, and are willing to obtain the Reading Specialist Certification.

Band Director
The Ridgway Area School District has a Band Director opening to begin for the 2026/2027 school year. Applicant must possess either a bachelor’s degree in music education or have extensive experience with marching ensembles. This position is stipend paid in the amount of $4,000.00. The Band Directors responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
a. Band Camp
b. Developing the half-time performance
c. Developing and preparing musical engagement at football games for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th quarters
d. Attendance with the marching band at all football games.
e. Preparation and attendance with the marching band at three parades Or any hometown parade that may arise (Ridgway Homecoming Parade / Johnsonburg Homecoming Parade / Ridgway Fireman’s Parade)
f. Two concerts (Band and Chorus) to be performed in the Winter
g. Two concerts (Band and Chorus) to be performed in the Spring
h. Preparation and attendance with music department students participating in PMEA and IU9 Music Festivals throughout the spring semester
i. Ridgway Area School District Commencement Ceremony
